### On 3D Delaunay tessellation

It seems that on this MATHEMATICA is a little behind MATLAB. MATLAB has a function delaunay3, generates 3D Delaunay tessellation, while MATHEMATICA’s ComputationalGeometry package does not contain that kind of function yet. However, there is a makeshift method using Qhull with a Mathlink interface. Qhull is the same algorithm MATLAB uses for delaunay3.

Delaunay triangulation can be the initial step for mesh generation for FEM programs. Here are sample output by Mathematica for a plate to be analyzed.
